Plastics and Reconstructive Surgical Society (PRSS), aims:

  • To foster and promote surgical education in specialisations related to plastics and reconstructive surgery for medical students at the Anglia Ruskin University with the development of the following 9 surgical competencies: technical expertise, medical expertise, clinical decision making, communication, collaboration, management and leadership, health advocacy, teaching, professionalism and ethics.
  • To promote and encourage communication between students and surgeons, with an emphasis on the establishment of educational exchange and mentorship
  • To provide educational and research opportunities for students in such forums.
  • To provide opportunities for interaction between students interested in plastic surgery.
  • To facilitate surgical exposure and education.
  • To promote interest in surgical careers related to plastics and reconstructive surgeries.
  • To edge and enhance skills required for plastic surgeons of tomorrow.
  • To craft a school of thought in plastic surgery.
  • To promote the art of plastic surgery.
