ARU Mechanical Engineering Society (ARUMES)

ENGINEERING SOCIETY!!

Welcome to the new engineering society here at ARU. Im Sophie and I am the president of the Engineering society here on campus, and let me tell you we are definitely going to have fun this year. If you have a passion for the art of engineering and want to take part in some of awesome engineering events across the UK, come and join. This year we are hoping to do a few small events within the university, and also hopefully go to the billericay soap box race. There is no way it is not worth your £3.60. It will give you a place to take engineering to the next level and meet passionate and like-minded peers. We provide hands-on experience with tools, components and materials through fun events and projects to help you build your skills. It's a fantastic way to meet other students, make industry contacts, and find mentors through our practical competitions, workshop days and events.

We will be holding 2 meetings a week to allow for everyone to take a part in the engineering society. There will be a meeting on a Wednesday from 1 and a meeting on a Friday from 12, both in the engineering workshop behind the Innovation Centre.
