What are your campaigns/ what would you like to achieve for students this year?
Hidden Disability campaign – this is carried over from Emma Scriven (last years disabled students rep Cambridge). I have a drive to achieve an outcome on this to improve students confidence who may suffer from a hidden disability but also improve their experience at ARU. I’d like to review the accessibility for hidden disabilities and the resources available around campus (this is where I’d like to introduce sunflower lanyards).
Student Experience – I want to ensure that students really get the most out of there university experience and help to improve any problems they might find. I will continue to take feedback from students and divert it to the right areas of the university in order to make the most of it and ensure that students voices are heard!
Why are you passionate about this project idea?
I am passionate that the students voices are heard because this is their university and their experience so want to make it the best it can be.
I believe hidden disabilities are so important to remember and that the support that is needed should be easily available. Students shouldn’t need to feel alone or unsupported at ARU which is why I’m so passionate to do a campaign on this.

What made you stand to be a Rep?
I was voted in as HEMS faculty rep for Cambridge last year and enjoyed it so much I wanted to stay in the role. I’ve made so many connections and friends as a rep and love seeing the work we put in really impact the students of ARU. I love working with the students union and it has massively improved my university experience.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
In 5 years’ time, I hope to be working for the ambulance service as a Paramedic.
Share your three favourite tunes:
Giants – Dermot Kennedy
Leaving my love behind – Lewis Capaldi
Busy – Olly Murs
?
Tell us something not many people know about you.
I have a passion for figure skating and have been skating for around 6 years now.?In addition I am a huge fan of Olly Murs and have even met him 14 times! However my music taste is extremely broad as I also have a love for bassline music, something very different to Olly Murs haha!
What's your ultimate ARU moment?
So far I’d say my ultimate ARU moment has got to be starting up a new society (Ice Skating society Cambridge) and finding so many other students who share my passion. Seeing the society grow has been emotional but amazing and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve next year!
?
If you had a super power what would it be??
To be able to fly! Although I’m not a fan of heights, I love travelling so if i could fly I could go all around the world
