From the best activities in the city to top restaurants, bars and coffee shops, explore what's on in London today.
Located in the eastern part of the city, East India docklands is home to our newer campus. Situated just down the river from Canary Wharf, East India is a thriving, multi-cultural area with plenty to keep you busy.
In East India, there is Salento’s which has lunch time deals and happy hours to fit whatever time you are on campus. If you are looking for something even closer to campus, there is also a student-led pop up shop that sells freshly cooked and delicious meals through the day and over the lunch period.
On the campus itself there is Salento’s that have happy hour deals for post study chilling. Alternatively, you have a few well-known locations such as All Bar One and Las Iguanas at the 02.
When it comes to shopping you will be spoilt for choice as you can take a short DLR trip over to Canary Wharf and enjoy the range of shops they have there, if you don’t mind travelling out a little further to Stratford where there is the amazing Westfield Shopping Centre! For other well-known brands and top shops, you can also head over to the 02.
If you don’t want to travel too far from campus, the Republic Team (the owner of your university building) occasionally put on student socials such as live music around the lake. However, if you’re looking for a change of scenery all you need to do is hop on the DLR line for 10 minutes to Canary Wharf. Here you’ll find a variety of bars that’ll keep you entertained for hours, from the beautiful rooftop bar Bokan to the quirky German Bierkeller Munich Cricket Club. Or if you would rather an activity whilst you party you should head to Electric Shuffle – a cocktail bar bringing a new-spin to a classic British game.
Just across the river, you are no more than a few stops away from the 02! Here you can take part in a range of fun activities including interactive football, indoor trampolining, bowling, mini-golf and evening climbing the 02 itself.
For more laid-back things to see and do, you can check out the Crossrail Place Roof Garden at Canary Wharf, the Museum of London Docklands or for a better bird's eye view you can hop on to one of the IFS cloud cable cars.
