Med Soc - Chelmsford
What is Medsoc?
A society for all medical students on Chelmsford Campus! If your on Nurtition, Health, Medical Science or more come join us!
We are a new Medical Society recently set up in Chelmsford Anglia Ruskin University. The MedSoc currently consists of and is run by Physician Associate students at ARU, it will then be shared between both medical and PA students in 2018.
We are here to promote the Physician Associate profession within and outside the university, offer guidance and support to current and potential Physician Associate students as well as offer educational support and seminars.
We also aim to provide a good and active social life for all MedSoc members from social events, nights out, and academic extra-curricular teaching.

Education
MedSoc wants to try and make your time at ARU as easy as possible as well as offer you the best educational resources to prepare you for clinical placement in your second year. That's why we try to hold several educational talks, seminars and sessions throughout the year so that when you hit placement you can show off your skills! As this is beneficial to both year groups we want you to feel free to approach any of the committee team with ideas of teaching days you think are appropriate. If you already have a lecturer mind that would be fantastic! Just drop one of us an email or contact the MedSoc email.
Welfare and Support
We understand that postgraduate study can be hard and at times, you may need some support.
Whilst we would always reccommend approaching the ARU Student Support Services for counselling or support in the first instance, we also recognise that sometimes you may just want to talk to your colleagues or other students on things like how they are revising, studying, funding their lives. Feel free to contact one of the MEDSOC committee members who should be able to point you in the right direction.
