Welcome to the Placements and Employability Society!!
We are a diverse group of students working closely with the Employability Team, who's aim is to deliver opportunities for everyone, to not only enhance your employment prospects after university, but to help you gain the skills, confidence and motivation required for you to further yourself and reach your highest potential.
Regardless of whether you decide to continue in education after your time at ARU, or whether you choose to enter employment and begin your career, we are the society that can help you!!
Many Students find upon completing their degree, that a degree on its own is not enough to secure employment. A degree can prove your academic and vocational capabilities, but it doesn't prove your personal skills or attributes that would help set you apart from the crowd. In the competitive world we live in today, Employability skills are an absolute must.... and that is where we come in!!!
We aim to help everybody, regardless of faculty, to build their skills and build their confidence. We want to bring opportunities to you to help you grow, but to also arm you with the skills and confidence, to be able to go out into your industry and create opportunities for yourself.
We will hold as many events as we can throughout the year, bringing in guest speakers, holding workshops, offering advice and support.... But, we can only do that if you work with us!!
Regular updates for our members on upcoming events will be on our social media pages and via email, this is due to our commitment to ensure all our activities are environmentally friendly, and to assist in promoting a greener environment within our university.
So please, join the society, invite your friends, talk to us and bring us your ideas and suggestions... and most importantly, make the most of your opportunities....
