Disabled Students - Cambridge

The aims and objectives of the Disabled Student's Society are to support an inclusive environment at Anglia Ruskin University for all students. We want to create a university where individuals who identify as ‘disabled’ feel included in all aspects of university life, from academic to social. With this we aim to run a number of campaigns to increase awareness and make improvements on campus, and also provide a social space that welcomes diversity. We will take into account all types of disability, including physical, sensory, intellectual, mental health and emotional, pervasive developmental, developmental, and non visible. We will work alongside the university’s Student Support Services and run regular feedback sessions with students to ensure we can achieve these goals.

The Disabled Students Society is an all-inclusive society aimed at providing both disabled people and people who have a personal stake in disability issues to be with like-minded individuals.
