Islamic Cultural Society
Islamic societies in ARUL aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment for Muslim students, promote Islamic values and teachings, and provide opportunities for spiritual growth and community engagement. Some common objectives of Islamic societies in our Universities include:
- The society facilitates and caters to the needs of all Muslims on-campus students or staff to help them practice their religion. It will also promote the true message of Islam to non-Muslims around campus.
- The society will adhere to the principles of Islam as found in the Qur’an and by the example or way (henceforth referred to as the Sunnah) of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).
- Adopting a sense of belonging and community among all Muslim students.
- Offering educational programs and events to increase knowledge and understanding of Islam.
- Providing support and resources for Muslim students to practice their faith on campus.
- Engaging in interfaith dialogue and promoting understanding and respect among different religious groups.
- Organizing social and charitable activities to give back to the community and promote Islamic values of compassion and service.
- Creating a platform for discussing contemporary issues from an Islamic perspective.
- Encouraging leadership development and empowering Muslim students to become active members of society.
- Providing Jumah (Friday) prayers in the Prayer Room, with Khutbahs (sermons) given by approved students executive committee. which are also approved by the committee.
The aim is to enhance the overall University experience for Muslim students and contribute positively to the campus community.
Islamic Society Meet & Greet
"The Islamic Society event is a celebration of Islamic culture, values, and community. Open to everyone, the event offers an opportunity to learn about Islamic traditions, history, and practices through engaging talks, cultural displays, and interactive activities. Attendees enjoy traditional food, explore Islamic art, and participate in discussions that highlight the importance of unity, compassion, and understanding in Islam. This event fosters a welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds to connect, learn, and appreciate the beauty and diversity of Islamic heritage."
