Let's Talk About Sex - James Morgans (LGBT+ Student's Rep for Cambridge)
My name is James, I’m a 2nd year politics student and I’ve been here for three years now! I like listening to music and going to a lot of gigs and fests; I write poetry sometimes and like expressing my creativity wherever possible. I love going to the cinema and TV and playing video games when I’m trying to unwind after a hard day of lectures, work or trying to make a difference! I hope to meet as many people as I can this year as well and if you have any feedback or ideas please put them in the comment box or E-Mail me and I’ll do my best to work on those ideas whenever I can.
Let’s Talk About Sex:
Let’s Talk About Sex is a campaign targeted towards but not exclusively aimed at the LGBT*AP+** community here at Anglia Ruskin. Its aim is to make sure that safer sex is promoted to all students here at ARU and everyone is offered Free Contraception of sorts so as to protect them from contracting STIs; it also aims to make sure that people who have contracted/think they may have contracted an STI are aware if they do or not have STIs and can then proceed however is needed. The final part of the campaign will be a lot more shifted towards emphasis on the LGBTAP+ community but as with the other two aims will be optional for all and regards running a series of workshops where sexual health, consent and other sex related issues will be discussed. (These workshops will probably begin in second semester but I will attempt to have something in place before the Christmas break).
** LGBT*AP+ - Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, Asexual, Pansexual and others
How Can You Help Me?
By coming to any forums that I arrange and my using my comment box to give me any and all feedback you can think of. By attending the workshops laid on and giving ideas on what you want the workshops to be around.
