Club/Society Committee Members - Which Hours Can I Log?


As a committee member of a Club or Society at ARU Students' Union, or at Team ARU, you are a volunteer! This means that all the work you do as part of your Club or Society can be logged as volunteering hours and skills through the Volunteer Centre. But which hours can you log?
 

Meetings or training conducted by the Students’ Union

Committee meetings conducted within your club/society

Development planning and preparation work for your club/society

Development planning and preparation work for an event or social

Supervisory activities (an event where you are coordinating others, not participating in)

Any training or coaching delivered by yourself

Communication with club/society members

Travel in which you are a volunteer driver

Administrative work

Volunteering Projects

Attending or delivering your AGM presentation
 
Social Events

Travel time to and from events

Events or activities which you are participating in but not coordinating e.g. sports fixtures, sport training sessions, activity sessions, guest lectures, non-volunteering trips
 
 
Generally, if you are doing a task for free and for the benefit of others, this is volunteering!

8:02am on 7 May 21 From starting off of Masters degree i was working for ARU Temps then Student Union as far I still Want to work again for Student Union. It was the best time of my life to enjoy working with union people and still in touch for any other opportunity if I can get.
