Big congratulations are going out to our volunteers who help at Sanctus Homeless charity, who bagged the Essex Cares, Best Volunteer Team Award last night!

A volunteering team made up of Anglia Ruskin students who regularly help Sanctus Homeless Charity have won big at the Essex Care Awards 2017!

The awards are run by Essex County Council and were hosted by ARU in May. Sanctus entered their 20 strong volunteer team, several of whom are students from ARU who take part in cooking, food pickups and juicers. We are so proud of our relationship with Sanctus and all the amazing work our students do for this local cause.

This is not the first time one of our keen vounteers has won an award for their work at Sanctus, Oliva Hang won our Community Award at the SU Awards 2017 and Nina Heidelmann has won May's Community Volunteer of the Month!

If volunteering to help the homeless sounds up your street, take a little look at one of our opportunities with them:
