Lyn Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Midwifery at ARU. In 2017 she won the Innovative Teaching Award. She tells us how it feels to be nominated, and win, a Made a Difference Award.

Being recognised by the students for the work that you put into a module and to helping them achieve their potential is so very special. The midwifery students are the future of my profession and as such are so important to me. I am always looking for new and innovative ways of making the modules more interesting and more interactive as the more the students engage the more they will get out of it.

We have truly outstanding midwifery students at ARU and a truly outstanding team that teaches them. I am slightly bias I admit but I felt truly honoured to have won a Made A Difference Award this year, particularly as this made my hat-trick!
