Now we’ve moved into our amazing new space in Peter Taylor House, we want to celebrate with you! Here’s everything you can look forward to.

After our grand reopening in Peter Taylor House, we’re super excited to now be able to share a space with you guys. This is totally new for us, and something we believe will help us in creating success together.

First of all, thank you to everyone who came to our opening! It was so great to see so many of you there, enjoying the cupcakes and the prosecco! But most importantly, we thought it was fantastic to see you guys using the space as we intended almost straight away - for chilling out and relaxing. So, we wanted to let you know what you can use our new space for!

Chilling out with your friends

You’ll be able to use the variety of seating, sofas and booths to hang out with your friends. This is a large, bright, vibrant area, and we welcome you guys to hang out with us! Use our kitchen area to make a drink and heat up some lunch in our microwave.

Studying

If you want to get out of your room or away from the library for a change of scenery, feel free to use our new booths and cosy seating areas. You’ll be able to use the new desks to work at, and there are plenty of power points if you want to bring your laptop. You can work alone, or work with friends for informal group studying.

Societies and Clubs

If you’re looking for a place to meet up and talk over some ideas, please use our space! We really encourage societies and clubs to make the most of our new place. You can even book the meeting room if you want to. We’ll soon have society lockers up and running for storing your equipment, and a trophy cabinet so we can share in all your successes.

Meetings

You are completely welcome to use this space for meetings, whether that is as a society, or if you’re a Course Rep wanting to meet with some class mates to talk about feedback. You can also meet here with SU staff as normal – just in a much brighter environment!
