What is the SU Pantry?
Looking to make your weekly shop stretch a bit further? Needing to save some money to help with the cost of living? The Students' Union Pantry is here for you. The SU has a stock of food, toiletries and more that is free for all ARU students from our Cambridge and Chelmsford SU spaces. It is an accessible and non-judgemental service that's easy for everyone to use.
How do I access it?
Sign in with your SID card at our reception desk to get access.
Each student can take up to ten items from the pantry and can get access once a week.
The Pantry can be accessed from 9:15-16:45 every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
What can I get?
Items from the Pantry will be given out on a first come, first served basis. We cannot guarantee specific items, but it will usually contain the following:
Food items:
- Canned Goods (vegetables, fruits, soups, beans, tuna)
- Pasta and rice
- Jars of sauce and spreads
- Cereal
- Long-life milk
- Hot drinks
- Instant noodles
- Baking ingredients
- Crackers, nuts and seed
Toiletries:
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Toothpaste and toothbrushes
- Washing pods
- Other toiletries
- Paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, tissues).
