Lockdown series:

This week I have recorded lockdown series with NUS Vice-president (Education) Hillary, we also discussed agendas and issues that NUS is lobbying for to support students’ in these difficult times. I also met Cambridge MP Daniel Zeichner and asked him about the financial support that govt is looking to provide and preparations for post second lockdown.

Prayer space:

After meeting Islamic society, I made my visit to prayer space in Cambridge and noted down the concerns they are facing. I have immediately raised all those issues and glad to inform all these issues which was on- going for couple of months have been resolved.

Incubation centre:

I met Deputy Vice-chancellor research and Innovation to discuss about the project. After 15 mins of my pitching she agreed to collaborate and work together to build this project. I’m hopeful that we will start pilot project from next Trimester.

Student focus group:

We will be hosting student focus group on 10th Dec 2020 to take student’s opinions on the incubation centre project and also to understand what actually students’ need from the incubation centre. All those who are interested to be a part of this can send me their acceptance to o.singh@angliastudent.com

Placement/internships:

I spoke to Dean Gary Packham to allow all the courses which are starting their placement year from January can apply for Incubation centre research and development intern. It happened as expected, I’m very pleased to see we have created placement opportunities for students’ from the campaign.
