Diwali is always a special time at our university, and last year’s celebration was truly unforgettable. As part of our inclusive and diverse student body, students from different countries came together to celebrate the festival of lights, bringing their unique cultures and traditions into one incredible event.

Last year, we gathered in the LAB Courtyard at our Cambridge campus, where the evening was filled with vibrant performances from students representing various cultures. From traditional dances to soulful music, the stage was alive with the energy and talent of our diverse community. It was heartwarming to see how Diwali brought everyone together, celebrating the richness that makes our university so special.

The food was a highlight as well—delicious dishes from different regions, reminding many of us of home. Whether it was sweets or savoury treats, the spread brought a real taste of the festival to our campus. And of course, the sparklers lit up the night sky, symbolising the triumph of light over darkness.

Everyone looked fantastic in their cultural attire, showcasing the traditions we share at our university. It wasn’t just a celebration of Diwali, but also a celebration of unity, diversity, and the strong friendships we’ve built here.

As we look forward to this year’s Diwali celebration across all campuses, I’m excited to see even more performances, more food, and more enjoyment! Let’s make this year’s celebration even more memorable, and I hope to see all of you there to share in the joy and festivities.
