GIAG’s This Month – Chelmsford

Welcome back to Anglia Ruskin and of course your lectures & Seminars. Aswell as the evening entertainment we also have a variety of activities happening on and off campus for you to attend.

After the success of the Give It A Go events and activities, the Student Union have put on even more trips this semester. Give it A Go activities are a series of sports sessions, which any student can attend. If you have experience or not does not matter, coaching is provided. It’s a chance to try a new sport. All of our activities are mature friendly.

Our first sport session is this Thursday where we are holding our first of six cricket taster sessions. These will be in Mildmay sports hall, from 6-7pm. If you have recently been inspired by the England cricket team or just want to try the sport then join us for a net session where you can try batting and bowling. These sessions will be held by a fully qualified coach. Equipment will be provided. If you want to book a place then come to the Student Union office and sign up for just £2.

Give it A Go trips are all family and mature friendly, so you are more than welcome to bring your children, family or friends. After the huge success of Harry Potter Studio Tour last semester, it is back! So book on early to avoid disappointment.

The first of our four planned trips for the semester is this weekend. We will be taking a coach of students to Cambridge for the day. For just £10 you will be transported to and from cambridge and given the day to explore the iconic city. This is always a popular trip as it’s always the cheapest way to travel to and from Cambridge. If you want to book a place then come to the Student Union office on the 1st floor of the Tindal Building.
