Me Myself and I
Let’s start at the beginning my name is Abinesh I am running for vice president of the Anglia Ruskin university London campus. About me well I am a very ambitious person my goal in life is to change the world to make a difference my grandpa always told me don’t live in the world your given live in the world you dream off and each passing day I want to achieve that. When I mean changing the world to be more precise I want to get into the house of lords in the future and change the schooling system because I was good at school but when I left I felt like most things I was taught were useless and not applicable in the real world we learn complex equations like quadratic equation yet some schools don’t even teach the basics like human rights which I believe everyone should know.
Stance on education
My stance on education has been it shouldn’t be a privilege it should be a right getting charged up to 10k a year is a lot. So as my first goal of being president I need to investigate of students getting some money back because most students in Anglia Ruskin university only do 2 semesters, but they charge for 3 instead which I think is very unfair and if I get elected that is my first order of business. There are technically 3 semesters but the 3rd is for people who need resits, so I feel like everyone paying for the 3rd semester is unfair, and it should be the people who resit who pays not everyone else. I will make sure when I become elected that everyone’s voice in the Anglia Ruskin’s London campus is heard to the other campuses.
I am the student rep of my class and so far I went around the class asking for anything I can change and help them with most of them were satisfied so I was very happy I did my job as there student rep now I feel like its my duty to do that to the whole university any problems you have or you facing when I get elected I will do my best to make time for people and talk to them on it and if I can’t help I will refer them to someone who can because when spirits are low I will turn your doubts into hope.
Finally the other goal I am working towards is some practical knowledge this is some complaints I have heard in the finance and accounting student areas if I get elected I will do my best to push for learning sage and payroll it is good to have the theory and a degree but without practical knowledge most companies wont hire the candidate so I want to help those students out buy pushing for sage and payroll because with this knowledge in the field they will have a better and a brighter future.
