My name is Alexina Oladipupo and I am running for the ALSS Faculty representative. If elected, I am to be the mouthpiece of the students of ALSS, ensuring the views, voice and perspectives of ALSS students are not only heard, but taken under great consideration, appreciated and valued. As an individual, I consider myself to be capable of this as an approachable person, good listener and advocate for those under my leadership and care. Previous instances where I have displayed effective leadership is as the Head Cadet of my Volunteer Police Cadet unit, a role which involved the remaining cadets to be under my training, advice, and influence. My experience in this role allowed me to refine pre-existing leadership skills, considering I had to act and plan in the best interests of both individuals and the multitude, quite similar to what will be demanded of me if elected as ALSS Faculty representative. By putting the necessity of a positive experience and the effective training of my cadets at the forefront of my decisions as head cadet, I believe I have the experience necessary to actualise thoughts and ventures that the students of the ALSS Faculty propose to me.
