About me

Hi, I’m Anya, I’m a post graduate researcher studying on the Writtle campus, before this I studied a degree in Equine Behaviour at ARU Writtle, throughout this I was a course representative ensuring this student voice was heard and have gone onto a volunteer social officer position for the SU over the past year. I have held the position as the social secretary for the women’s rugby team and a sports development officer gaining invaluable experience.

And I’m ready to be the voice that ARU students need!

1. Opportunities Fund

Students are under more financial pressures due to the cost of living crisis, which is having a increased impact on students. This fund will enable students to access extra curriculum activities, university trips, short courses and training at no cost to them which will improve career prospects, networking opportunities and experiences that last a lifetime.

2. Make sport a priority

Challenge Team ARU to improve organisation of sports teams and  to help more with engagement.

Make sport more accessible by lowering financial costs, introduce online classes to remove barriers, ensure fair and equal access to campus facilities.

Setup non-competitive sport societies and activities to make sport inclusive for all, creating safe spaces for people to be active, make life-long friends and have fun without the pressure of competition.

3. Get the best deal for Writtle students

Advocate for Writtle students, raise issues and find solutions regarding food, accommodation and the enhancement of face to face support services. Ensure that Writtle is treated equally among other campuses and protect our unique community. Increase transparency and communication between staff and students about the changes happening on campus.

If you want to see the above happen then vote Anya for activites and opportunities officer!
