As the Course Representative for Year 2 Law students, I have consistently advocated for my peers, addressed their concerns, and worked alongside faculty to enhance the academic experience.
I understand how to navigate institutional structures and effectively push for positive changes that directly benefit students. Leading as the President of the Hangin’ Out Society, I have successfully organized events that promote student well-being, foster social connections, and create a sense of community on campus. What 3 priorities will you work on for students?
As a Student Union Officer, my top three priorities will be expanding opportunities, fostering a strong sense of belonging, and creating a vibrant student life experience that will be truly unforgettable. I am committed to ensuring that every student at the Peterborough campus feels empowered, engaged, and supported throughout their academic journey. Every student deserves access to opportunities that enhance their academic, professional, and personal growth.
I will work to create more internships, networking events, and career development programs that connect students with potential employers and industry professionals. I will advocate for more skill-building workshops, leadership programs, and funding for student-led initiatives, ensuring that students have the tools they need to succeed. Additionally, I want to expand extracurricular activities, giving students the chance to explore new interests, develop talents, and gain valuable experience outside the classroom.
University should be a place where everyone feels welcome, supported, and included. I will prioritize diversity, inclusion, and student well-being, ensuring that all voices are heard and valued. I want to create more spaces for students to connect, whether through cultural events, mental health support groups, or student forums where concerns can be addressed openly. I will work to bridge the gap between different student communities, fostering a campus culture that is friendly, inclusive, and united. A great university experience is about more than just academics—it’s about making memories that last a lifetime.
I will work to bring bigger and better student events, exciting social activities, and more recreational opportunities to campus. Whether it's music festivals, themed parties, sports tournaments, or adventure trips, I want to ensure that every student has access to fun, engaging, and meaningful experiences. I will also advocate for improved student spaces and facilities, ensuring that we have the right environment to relax, socialize, and make the most of our university years.
By focusing on opportunities, belonging, and student life, I will make sure that every student at the Peterborough campus feels supported, engaged, and excited about their time here.
I am ready to take action and make our university experience truly unforgettable.
