Manifesto for Vice President, Faculty of Business and Law

Dear Fellow Students,

In the pursuit of an enriched university experience, I stand before you as a catalyst for positive change. My journey, from a spirited campaigner at the age of 9 to a dedicated law student, mirrors my unwavering commitment to community service. Now, I aspire to be your Vice President for the Faculty of Business and Law.

About Me:

Raised in a family deeply committed to community service, I have carried this torch into my academic journey. From being Head Boy in college to serving as the General Secretary of the Rotaract Club and President of the Debating Society, my path has been one of humility and dedication to the needs of students.

My Vision:

1. Food Diversity and Affordability:

Our dining experiences should reflect the vibrancy of our student body. As your Vice President, I envision a campus where affordable, halal, and vegan food options are not  just a necessity but a delightful reality.

2. Accommodation Solutions:

Finding decent and affordable accommodation can be challenging. I aim to tackle this issue by advocating for fair accommodation policies, pushing the university to offer housing options for all students, not just first-years. Until then, I'll work on securing cost-effective lease agreements for nearby buildings.

3. Forward-Thinking Infrastructure:

To accommodate the dynamic growth of our student community, I will advocate for the expansion of university facilities. This includes not only additional buildings but also state-of-the-art resources that align with the ever-evolving needs of the academic landscape.

4. Economic Empowerment through Part time Job Opportunities:

The pursuit of education should not be hindered by financial constraints. I propose the establishment of a dedicated department within the university to actively connect students with part-time job opportunities. By engaging with companies and local retailers, we will ensure our graduates are prioritized for job opportunities.

5. Global Student Empowerment:

Our university is a melting pot of cultures, and I am dedicated to ensuring that every student, irrespective of their background, feels heard and supported. I will champion initiatives that embrace diversity and foster inclusivity.

Vote for a student with a vast vision – one who understands the global landscape, values diversity, and is committed to shaping an environment where every student thrives.

Vote Obaid Ullah Ahmad for Vice President, Faculty of Business and Law. Your future, Our shared journey.
