My name is Susan (Sue) Beischer and I am currently a second year student children's nurse based in the Chelmsford campus. I have been a class rep for two years, and I was a welcome buddy for the September 2023 students. In August of this year I will be participating in Work the World and will be venturing off to Vietnam for three weeks to experience health and healthcare within a country that has different cultures and religions. I honestly can't wait for this opportunity and will be happy to share my experiences with you all.
Once qualified I am hoping to do a post graduate diploma for, Specialist Community Public Health Nurse, and from then I will start my career as either a health visitor or school nurse.
I believe I am a caring and approachable person that will listen to any concerns that you may have around your placements. I will be a voice of advocacy for us healthcare students and will work hard and provide support where I can and will seek opportunities to make practical improvements, not only for ourselves but for all future healthcare students.
If I was to be elected, my priority would be to create more positive environments to support learning opportunities for all healthcare students that will be experiencing practical placements alongside their studies. Equal opportunities, no discrimination, and to be treated fairly and with kindness and compassion.
