Hi there, I'm Lars Woolnough and I am running to be your AHSS Faculty Rep.

I've been part of AHSS now for three years, have been on two courses in the faculty (Graphic Design and Computer Gaming Technology) and am now hoping to use my experience to help not only listen to what you, the students of the faculty want, but also to make the faculty itself be the best it can be (After all were the best faculty aren't we?)

At the university not only have I studied, work at the Students Union, helped run societies and also am now  a course rep. But I hope to also take all this experience further to hopefully steer what the students want the university to develop in our faculty.

The main points I'd like to focus on as the faculty rep are:

  • Engaging with course reps and the students of AHSS, getting feedback of what the university is doing right, but also what it's doing wrong, so that we can strive for a better education and time while here.
  • Better access to resources, both online and offline.  (E.g. Continuing with compass, Lab and seeing what else needs better accessibility)
  • Better advertising of what the university has to offer. The university offers a lot of opportunities students aren't aware of and I would like to try and improve this.

I am running in a slate this year called A.S.U.P. (AHSS Students Union Party), me and my slate partner, Niamh Cubitt, hope to make this university a better place for all students.  So if youd like a strong team, consider voting for us.

If you've stuck around and read all of this thank you so much, and consider voting for me when voting opens up on 25th February at 9am.
