Hey everyone! My name is Ellesse-Mai and I'm running for the role of HEMS faculty rep!

I have experience in representing students due to being the vice-president for Canterbury College which led to myself and the rest of my team to run a campaign based around sleep as this was identified to be a major problem for our students. We held a sleep day where lush and this works came in to provide relaxation workshops and free samples for students! The day proved to be a massive success and assisted me to improve my leadership and my organisational skills. Due to my past experience of representing students and ensuring that their voices were heard I believe this makes me a great candidate.

If elected I would aim to:

- work with staff to improve welcome week and make it more enjoyable and useful for new students

- Improve exam preparation to help students feel  more prepared for upcoming exams

- I will work with placement teams for better organisation and communication to ensure students know what's happening

I think these aims will have a positive impact on your course because these are common issues for the HEMS faculty and they need to be addressed in order to make your more enjoyable and get an even better education for you!

Thank you for reading my manifesto and happy voting!
