What is the Executive Committee?
The Executive Committee is made up of 5 full-time Sabbatical Officers along with a number of Part-Time Officers, which are elected annually by the student body.
The Executive Committee takes control of the day to day running of the Students’ Union, debating on issues surrounding Finances, Clubs and Societies, Welfare as well as any other relevant student issues.
The main purpose of the Executive Committee is to represent and put forward the views of all students at Anglia Ruskin University. Firstly, by asking students what their views on certain topics are and then taking those views forward in the relevant fashion.
The Executive Committee convenes monthly meetings where any student is welcome to come along to discuss student issues and how the Students’ Union should take those issues forward. If you would like more information on these meetings or if you wish to attend please contact the Students’ Union president, Matt East.
As well as discussing student issues at these monthly meetings, there is also a chance for students and officers to hold members of the Executive Committee to account. This is done by each member of the committee presenting a ‘Officer Report’ which details their priorities and achievements for the past four weeks.
For more information on the Executive Committee please feel free to get in touch with any of the Sabbatical Officers. Contact details can be found here
